Eight students from Fairbury to Waverly, Omaha to Hastings took on the challenge of becoming better writers.
They studied the feature formula and reviewed examples of classic journalism from the nations best sources. They studied editorial and column writing as well as critical reviewing.
New this year, they learned to make a blog showcasing their work and discussed ways to incorporate a blog into their school's newspaper as a timely resource.
